A massive thank you to the amazing volunteers from Police Services - Care and Custody - a Mitie Company who travelled from around the UK (Wirral, Stockport and Nottingham) to support the Salvation Army (Swadlincote) by redecorating their community cafe.
”I'm amazed at how easy it was to set up and how smoothly it went. I'm totally impressed at the willingness and commitment of the volunteers, and at the work they completed. This was such a good experience - it can be hard for us to find volunteers, and hard to find the time (and expertise!) to take on tasks like this, so it was very much appreciated. We have a nice, fresh-looking café again! It was looking a little tired, and the damp proofing work did not look good. The café will now be lovely again for people to spend time in.”
