We are so excited to announce that South Derbyshire CVS is teaming up with the NSPCC to launch something pretty cool. It’s called the South Derbyshire Youth Bank project, and it’s all about giving young people the power to make big decisions.

Young people will meet regularly to chat with fellow panel members about the local projects that have applied for funding from the South Derbyshire Youth Bank. Together, they will assess and decide how the cash is split and distributed.

Throughout, the Young people will be supported to:

* Learn how to manage money.

* Boost their communication and teamwork skills.

* Play an active role in supporting other young people across South Derbyshire to make their communities safer and better.

The Youth Bank is run by young people, for young people.

Young people should be aged between 14-18 years of age, live in South Derbyshire, and be able to commit to attend one meeting a month for 12 months.
