Breastfeeding Peer Supporter
The Breastfeeding Network in Derbyshire is looking for new volunteers for their sessions running at Woodville Children's Centre and Repton Village Hall.
The course is OCN accredited and will run on Friday mornings, 10am-12pm, starting on 15th September. The training sessions run on alternative weeks until January. Most sessions will be held online but at least one will be in-person, giving you chance to get to know the other volunteers in your area.
The deadline for applications is 11th July and informal interviews will be held on Thursday 20th July at 9.30am.
Minimum 1 year commitment following training course.

What skills are required?
Experience of breastfeeding at least one baby (including expressing breastmilk); Ability to speak and write fluently in English Ability to work effectively as part of a team Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to work with people from different cultures sensitively Ability to keep the confidentiality of the parents and their families Awareness and commitment to equal opportunities; IT skills including Word, Excel, email and internet use.
