STAGE 1 - Submit an Application
Once you have found an opportunity that interests you the next stage is to complete the Volunteer Application and Health Forms using your computer or mobile device.  Alternatively PDF versions are available at the bottom of this page for download should you prefer to print and complete the forms.

STAGE 2 - Identification Check

When you have submitted your application, to speed up the process, please email photographed or scanned copies of your photographic ID and evidence of your current address (statement, utility bill etc) to volunteer@sdcvs.org.uk.  This will enable us to validate who you are and your current residential address.  Once this check is complete the evidence sent to us will be destroyed.

STAGE 3 - References

We at Volunteer Force will then seek to obtain your two references from your nominated referees.  Please ensure they are aware we will be contacting them, as this can often cause unnecessary delays to your application.

WELCOME!

When we have validated your ID and received two positive references we will send you a welcome to SDCVS which will include a copy of our Volunteer Handbook and Agreement as well as details of any induction or training to be completed.

STAGE 4 - Return Agreement

Please sign and return the Volunteer Agreement to volunteer@sdcvs.org.uk.

STAGE 5 - Referral

When we have received your signed Volunteer Agreement we will make a referral to your chosen SDCVS service or community opportunity.
